Not counting chickens

5/8

The day begins with the Red Bull rep. Full tour of the whole building in anticipation of the upcoming Pantha du Prince concert. Checking out spaces for green room, press room, VIP event... It’s fun to see their May schedule and to see Mexico City, Dudingen, WEST-PARK and then London.

Hugo comes in for a computer session with Stephen and we have time to sit and talk. It’s good just to have him listen.

A woman comes in looking for food. In Spanish I direct her down to SPSA.

My friend Zeljko and Colonel Zoltan Dani arrived last night from Serbia. They’re here for the official premiere of Zeljko’s Second Meeting film Friday night at the Quad Cinema. Col. Zoltan is a quietly humorous man with a deep heart. They’re here to use the Internet since we can’t seem to get it to work at the apartment. I’m glad we have been part of helping Zeljko’s film and more importantly, the project move forward.

And Nancy is by one more time. The real estate saga continues.

This morning’s site visit is with the Rioult modern dance company founded by choreographer Pascal Rioult. One of their people was a colleague of Cara’s with Martha Graham. It’s a warm reunion. We go through every space again. They’re especially enamored of the 4th floor 1890’s gym with it’s sprung floor. Martin stops in before running off to a meeting with a new prospective agent. They would make a great addition to the house. But I’ve been here before. Don’t count your chickens...

Anna drops in with words of advice for Cara’s prospective dance teaching project.

RL brings Zeljko and Zoltan up to his studio to play his recorded telling of the story of his Barqu Barque but technical difficulties intervene. (http://west-parkpress.blogspot.com/2013/03/baroque-barqu-barque-borracho-boxer.html )

Zeljko’s off to lecture. Zoltan and I head home.
